I have a dream that one day I be part of a platform where one will not be judged by the glamor of their username but by the quality of their discourse.

X, especially older ones, are only tech savy if they were nerds. After that technology became a more everyday thing so maybe millenial has the magic spot where it was common but not dumbed down. I dunno though.
how much can someone limit the instance? Like can they not allow magazine creation? It would be good for the good folks who run instances to think about scope and set limits. That does mean some large instances will be the backbone but that does not change that small instances will lighten the load and increase robustness.
Is the shutdown about cost per user? why not just limit signups in a case like that? I sorta assumed some instances were personal instances with no real signups and some where more open public. I don’t see why someone can’t run something with the intention of carrying like 10 users max or 100 or 1000 or what not.
I feel you always want to spend at least the best price per value for power supply and maybe a bit more or even the pricey high end. Overall its a cheap part and so important to quality.

this is my issue with people who say we are not overpopulated. For me the population of the earth should not exceed the number of people living they way they want as we do things today without using more resources than can be regenerated by the earth (for things that are renewable but maximally using renewable over limited resources)
