That’s stupid as hell. They think a bunch of kids are just going to sit there and listen to a robot? They don’t expect them to take advantage of every flaw in AI? Not only that but it removes the human interaction element of development. And to just top it off, AI is so basal right now that it will most likely teach students erroneous information anyways. Why are so many influential people with money complete morons?

I asked you because too many tech people, not even just linux people, enter into this argument with bad faith. Never intending to actually hear someone out or accept their position. Setting out with the sole intention of trying to prove to someone that their platform is accessible or superior in some way. And that’s just not the reality for many people when they delay leaving a platform. Evangelize all you like, but veiling it behind an attempt to help when you don’t care to, is disingenuous and doesn’t help anyone…

Do whatever you like, I really don’t care. I was just trying to find out if it was a bad faith argument, and seems I have my answer.

Are you actually or just looking to have an argument over it in effort to prove something? Linux is definitely great. But it’s still not the option for many, even if there are alt apps.

the loss of info density in favor of making everything fingerable has been one of the worst things to happen to anyone slightly inclined at managing systems. i hate trying to manage things in a touch based UI. so much fucking scrolling and wasted space. it does look nice , but fuck is it a productivity killer.

In what way did Microsoft fuck up? They don’t control Crowdstrike updates. Short of the OS files being immutable it seems unlikely they can stop things like this.
