Yeah, the people leading the “AGI will save us” are the same as super church pastors.
They don’t believe it, they just want their bank account limitless before they go into oblivion.

Decimals don’t matter for you and you are pushing that to everyone as a way to delegitimize my point.
I use Celsius and they matter to me. I can and do notice a difference between setting my thermostat to 21.5 vs 22 vs 22.5. You don’t whatever.
I said I was using Celsius but because I had a complaint you decided I was outside of your accepted user group and my statement was BS.
Its bullshit.
Meh I’m about 50/50 4 air conditioners in. Half degrees has not been all that uncommon and it’s up and down arrows to adjust it. I don’t get the handwaving of legitimate points of comtention to make Celsius seem more perfect. Everything has its flaws. It’s completely fine to admit that.
No this was an airconditioner built for and used in Japan only. It’s only in Celsius. It just uses decimal point options for finer control. I have been in plenty of places that only use Celsius and use decimals especially higher than 20s.
And still doesn’t change the drastic change between the whole numbers the higher you go vs lower temps.
Edit: literally my fever thermometer uses decimals to help you get a proper temperature reading between normal and fever.
I’ve been all over the world. Trust me seeing 21.6 or other decimals is not uncommon you and others are really just pushing hard on the ideas that there is no flaws and none of the quirks of Celsius.
I literally just set an air conditioner to 20.5°C. I don’t get why lie like this.
I’m gonna be honest. I love Celsius for the the whole perfect math reasons with calories and water based measurement…
But the curve on temps is a pain when all the nice temperatures require using a decimal place to decide just how slightly above or below pleasant it is but cold is basically everything from 16°C to -30°C And then decimals really matter when hotter than pleasant temps.
Whole rounded integers are just so vastly different depending how high or low you are in Celsius.
Well then you’d love my flower garden cause it has all those and more cause I just saw the praying mantis eating well hiding among my wildflowers.
Same but if you point out the personal risk to health to people they are usually more likely to respond, unfortunately.
And hey likely the same crowd that would be reckless with solvents.
Yeah I will say the idea that SLA is a totally fine printing option for general hobbyists really doesn’t do justice to the fact that you are basically doing factory production work in your house that often requires extensive PPE and washing stations when done for business.
They are harsh chemicals and people definitely aren’t even disposong of them correctly most of the time.
I really love how many of the buttons in settings either open an edge web page where Microsoft shrugs at you or just opens the control panel for you to actually get something done…
But hey when I need to turn off transparency effects cause it’s making all my taskbar icons disappear every time I swap desktops the new settings page works great. Sometimes.
God they needed actual competition. Or something.
Wow. That pun hurt me. I truly wanted to scroll past it and pretend I never saw it.
Good job, great pun!
Yeah furry porn is more lucrative but the community for dino fucking isn’t as extinct as they are.
Would you say it’s worth it for $300 for a ender 5 with the sonic pad? Cause yeah that lack of support seems like the dumbest thing about this printer.
And they probably didn’t stop being giddy about it for days.
Wow that’s a very specific reach of a meme
Yeah I had a friend build one out of like balsa wood and a couple CD trays and the rest of us were stunned… And not very impressed after like 5 minutes which a shame cause it really was a beginning stop that showed what was possible.
I am definitely less into making those kinds of jank printers just cause the costs were never quite zero, and we have so much better options.
My first printer was a self built reprap from parts from aliexpress in college.
I then helped fund peachy on kickstarter and a stupid poured resin counterweighted printer called the Phoenix.
I then had an Geeetech A10M, a Prusa Mk2 and ender 3, as well as one resin printer.
All I have left is the Prusa mk2 that hasn’t worked right for over a year and doesn’t print anything.
I definitely have never made back my money. To many dumb purchases and early generation jank all over the place but it was fun. The first thing I ever did with my first hand built printer was make a lithopane of my deceased dog and eventually my grandfather.
I’ve made so many stupid things and spent so much time on it as a hobby that it filled my days with activities, reason to communicate with others and frustrating nights all alike. Its not for everyone and its not really a good idea but if you have the means or like a hobby of tinkering and building in the modern world there is very little experience like it.
I mean… Yes, right?
Like most those fake elements don’t even last long enough to have a measurable amount.
But the lazy elements can be useful for stuff I guess, so maybe that’s a bit rude, could call them apathetic.
Yeah. I’ve built an entire library worth of knowledge into my head and a deep love of piecing everything together to extend my understanding of how things are and works… And will take it all to the grave with me cause no one cares and honestly whatever.
People don’t care. The idea of us being an intelligent and exploring species is a mistake from those of us that are applying it to everyone else. The maybe 10% of us are doomed to be at the whims of the other 90% that just doesn’t care or want to hear it.
That’s a cool idea. I was gonna suggest TPU
