Like which operating system it runs and the user interface and what the remote is like and how big the bezels are and how good the sound quality is and how many hdmi ports it has… Like if you care about some specific detail make sure it has the thing you want or doesn’t have a version you hate

If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck look at LED TVs. Different companies have different names for their specific LED technology, like QLED or MiniLED. If you’re looking for the best bang irrespective of bucks, go for an OLED.
Then choose your brand on which OS it uses and other features. Then crank up the size until you reach $1,000.
Think of all the Apple shit your phone depends on. iCloud, iMessage, any time you have to authenticate with your apple password. Probably a bunch of other iBullshit that I’m not familiar with because I don’t have an iPhone. At the very least, your OS would stop getting security updates, and like you said, you wouldn’t have an app store to push app updates. Some stuff would break immediately and other stuff would degrade over time.
Now imagine it’s your car
If Google or Apple went out of business (depending on which phone you have) you’d stop getting updates and it’d stop working.

I understand the mechanics, I just didn’t consider the clearance needed to accommodate the moving bed. I don’t want to burden you with a task, but I’m planning to put this in my small office which already has a lot of shit in it and I want to be sure. Can you tell me how much clearance I’d need behind the static footprint? Like if I get a table deep enough to fit the base, I’ll want to consider how far from the wall it’ll need to be.
It needs 70 cm of depth?! Damn, I don’t have room for that. I’ll have to rethink this.
22 cm wide? This graphic for the A1 Mini says the whole setup is 60 cm. Minus the 38 cm mini would mean it’s 22 yeah?
Yes but I’m finding that it makes me save my projects to their cloud which makes me feel like they’re trying to lock me in. And that I’d need internet access to work on a project.
Anyway, I’m pretty set on getting the Bambu Labs A1 with the AMS. But I’m open to having my mind changed.
I love it. I’m waiting for my bonus to come in at the end of the FY and I’m going to buy myself a 3d printer. In the mean time I’m shopping around for different CAD software to figure out the best balance between learning curve, features, and price. Nothing in the sweet spot yet.

This is my biggest gripe with Fusion 360 after the literal dozens of minutes using it. Why can’t I just save my projects locally?
